WWF and GlobeScan Webinar on Shaping the Future Water Agenda

Ahead of World Water Day 2025, our 20th March webinar launched our groundbreaking report from WWF and GlobeScan’s research program, “Shaping the Future Water Agenda.“ We shared valuable insights from a global consultation of over 350 expert stakeholders, a survey of more than 30,000 individuals across 30 countries, and engagement with 20 leading global companies that supported this initiative.

Key Discussion Takeaways Included:

  • Strong Appetite for Action: Both the public and experts show a strong desire for action on water issues, particularly water quality and pollution.
  • Growing Water Risks: Companies need to address substantial water-related risks and integrate water stewardship into broader sustainability strategies.
  • Integrated Approaches: Breaking down silos and adopting integrated approaches to water, climate, and nature is crucial for effective water stewardship.
  • Public and Expert Alignment: Aligning corporate actions with public and expert expectations is essential, focusing on water quality, habitat protection, and value chain impacts.
  • Proactive Engagement and Transparency: Companies should engage more proactively in water and nature policy, collaborate with governments, and communicate transparently about their water stewardship efforts.
