We are looking for an intern to join our team based in Paris

An internship with GlobeScan presents the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of diverse activities across client projects and business development. Day-to-day activities include supporting client projects, which could consist of helping write reports, running desk research, gathering and analyzing data from primary and secondary quantitative and qualitative data, helping to craft strategic implications and recommendations for clients as well as project management, client contact (managing client requests, attending client meetings), and actively taking part in client briefings and presentations.

What we need from you…

  • Education—A Master’s degree in relevant topics (e.g., market research, social sciences, business, sociology studies, sustainable development, etc.)
  • Language – Fluent, professional proficiency in both written and spoken French and English is a must (minimum level: C1), any other language is a plus
  • Demonstrable interest in our focus areas (corporate sustainability, corporate affairs, consumer engagement on sustainability, etc.) and keen understanding of business and societal issues
  • Good proficiency in MS Word / Excel / PPT
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Concise and clear written and oral communications
  • An inquisitive and creative mindset – you are not afraid to challenge the status quo and propose new ways of doing things
  • A good team player who can think and work independently, enthusiastic and keen to contribute to our work at GlobeScan and learn new skills
  • Strong values of ethics and integrity

About You

We are seeking an Associate / Senior Associate with two years of experience in areas such as market research, stakeholder engagement, or consulting to join our APAC team. This position is based in either of GlobeScan’s Hong Kong or Singapore offices.

We are looking for a team member with a solid background in social science research fundamentals, an inquisitive mindset, and enthusiasm for working to create a more sustainable and equitable future. This role will suit someone with a strong interest in social, environmental, and political issues, reputation and trust building, and business’s role in society, though professional experience in this area is not essential.

You have good attention to detail, can manage multiple tasks, and can work on a range of projects. You are comfortable jumping into projects, learning on the go, and working with a diverse global team. You are a highly effective communicator and are energetic and organized. On-the-job training will be provided for specific tasks, but applicants should have a solid foundational research background.

GlobeScan’s “One Team” approach means you will work directly with colleagues in Hong Kong or Singapore and across our offices around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support on research projects from design to analysis and reporting, guided by collaborative and experienced team members.
  • Help create client reports, briefings, and presentations through interpretation of data, charting, data coding, proofing, stakeholder mapping, and database management.
  • Share, engage, and communicate insights with colleagues and clients.
  • You will report to the Director of GlobeScan’s APAC team who will guide you through your role and career development opportunities.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Completed university/college degree in a related field (such as social sciences, consumer psychology, sustainability/corporate responsibility, business, etc.)
  • At least two years of evidence-based consultancy agency or client-side experience in research, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate research findings from data
  • Knowledge of the current sustainability/ESG landscape, public affairs issues, reputation management, and trends in the APAC market will be of benefit
  • Detail-oriented and a commitment to quality
  • A proactive and collaborative team player but able to think and work independently
  • Solid skills in MS PowerPoint and Excel; experience working with other analytic/visualization tools is a plus
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese or Mandarin is essential; proficiency in additional Asian languages is a bonus
  • Strong values of ethics and integrity
  • Must be eligible to work in Hong Kong or Singapore

Where there are gaps in your experience, we will ensure you receive training as part of our learning programme and on-the-job training.
