We are a looking for a Proofreader with a minimum of three years of proofing/editing experience to join our Production Team.

In this role you will…

  • Proof the accuracy of all data (both numeric and text format) presented in charts, tables, text, and diagrams using data tables, tracking documents, and GlobeScan’s style guide
  • Ensure that documents contain proper grammatical form and style
  • Ensure that charts are complete and logical
  • Review charts as a whole to ensure that they make sense and check for anomalies

About You

We are looking for a Proofreader with proven skills who will has the ability to look at the larger picture to ensure consistency. You are willing to dig into the details to ensure the highest quality. You possess rigorous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Key Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in English, proofreading, or a related field and a minimum of three years of proofing/editing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Exceptional English language skills with an eye for linguistic quality control
  • Solid grasp of business communications; specialist terminology related to climate change and sustainable development considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Detail oriented and committed to quality
  • A collaborative and proactive team player
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

To further our global presence and practice, we are looking to recruit a passionate and motivated Sustainability Research Consultant based in Germany.

As part of the Research and Advisory Services team, you will focus on the delivery of research- based recommendations and advice to corporate and civil society clients. In this newly created role, you will lead on the development of proposals and participate in business development opportunities in collaboration with our European and global team with the intention of building client relationships in Germany and growing a small office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with team members to design research, oversee fieldwork, develop reports, and interpret data
  • Present to senior level clients and lead workshops (e.g., diagnostic and action planning)
  • Lead and manage key global accounts, providing senior counsel and strategic advice to clients
  • Drive organic growth across existing accounts as well as developing new business opportunities in Germany and in other parts of Europe
  • Write proposals
  • Establish thought leadership to build brand awareness and increase visibility of GlobeScan’s unique expertise in the German market.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in applying social science techniques (e.g., research design, questionnaire development, analysis of data) specific to client needs, together with working closely with analysts to develop reports and interpret data
  • Proven track record of project management, including oversight of the strategy, deliverable schedule, and budget, as well as providing senior client counsel
  • Experience in successfully building account relationships organically and/or developing new business opportunities, including leading on drafting proposals
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the sustainability landscape including experience in how sustainability drives impact, reputation, and success, what constitutes strong corporate purpose and how to communicate and engage on ESG issues to a wide variety of audiences.

About You

  • A university level degree in a related field, ideally a Masters level
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience either in a consulting role or in-house sustainability role
  • Specific consultancy experience in:
    • sustainability and corporate risks
    • materiality assessments
    • reputation management
    • strategy and communications development
  • Entrepreneurial commercial skills and practical business knowledge to identify opportunities in a highly competitive market
  • A commitment to the sustainable development agenda
  • Exceptional written and spoken skills in German and English

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Teammitgliedern bei der Konzeption von Forschungsarbeiten, Überwachung der Feldarbeit, Erstellung von Berichten und Auswertung von Daten
  • Präsentationen vor Kunden und Leitung von Workshops (z. B. Diagnose und Maßnahmenplanung)
  • Betreuung und Verwaltung wichtiger internationaler Kunden, Beratung von Kunden auf höchster Ebene und strategisches Consulting der Auftraggeber

Ihr Profil

  • Hochschulabschluss in einem verwandten Fachgebiet, idealerweise ein Masterabschluss
  • Mindestens 6 Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung entweder in einer Beratungsfunktion oder in einer internen Nachhaltigkeitsfunktion 
  • Spezifische Beratungserfahrung in: 
    • Nachhaltigkeit und Unternehmensrisiken
    • Wesentlichkeitsanalysen
    • Reputationsmanagement
    • Strategie- und Kommunikationsentwicklung
  • Unternehmerische Fähigkeiten und praktisches Geschäftswissen, um Chancen in einem wettbewerbsintensiven Markt zu erkennen
  • Bekenntnis zur Agenda für nachhaltige Entwicklung
  • Hervorragende schriftliche und mündliche Kenntnisse in Deutsch und Englisch 

Wichtige Anforderungen:

  • Erfahrung in der Anwendung sozialwissenschaftlicher Techniken (z. B. Konzeption von Studien, Entwicklung von Fragebögen, Analyse von Daten), die auf die Bedürfnisse des Kunden zugeschnitten sind, sowie enge Zusammenarbeit mit Analysten bei der Entwicklung von Berichten und der Auswertung von Daten

  • Nachgewiesene Kenntnisse und Verständnis der Nachhaltigkeitslandschaft, einschließlich Erfahrung darin, wie Nachhaltigkeit Auswirkungen, Reputation und Erfolg fördern, was einen starken Unternehmenszweck ausmacht und wie man ESG-Themen gegenüber einer Vielzahl von Zielgruppen kommuniziert und sich engagiert.
