Episode 66
In this episode, Chris and David talk to Lindsay Hooper, CEO of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership about what leadership looks like in the second half of the 2020s. They also discuss the recent papers that Lindsay has co-authored with sustainability veteran Paul Gilding, on the need for businesses, individually and collectively to be more effective advocates for public policy changes (laws and regulations, taxes and subsidies) in favour of more sustainable outcomes. Otherwise, publicly listed companies are always going to be out-manoeuvred by the short-term profit-maximisers.
