Meet OUR Team
We have built a dynamic team, optimized to solve complex challenges for our clients. Our diverse backgrounds and broad range of skills give us the ability to empathize with client organizations and their stakeholders, to bring innovative ideas to the table, and to craft practical solutions that help them be recognized leaders
Our Board of Directors is made up of a diverse group of leaders who bring deep experience and expertise to GlobeScan. Acting fairly and responsibly, the Board considers the short- and long-term interests of GlobeScan and all its stakeholders.
Prior to joining GlobeScan in 2022, Sumaya served as the Director of Human Resources at a Toronto based Private Equity firm focusing on recruitment and retention, training and development, compensation and benefits, health and safety, and change management. Graduating with a BA in Economics and a Certificate in Human Resources Management, she enjoys working at the intersection of people, process, and data. Spending her childhood abroad in the Middle East with expat parents, Sumaya has gained a deep knowledge of culture and diversity, and this has notably shaped her view on DE&I and culture in the workplace. Sumaya is passionate about and volunteers to support social causes focused on global literacy and education.
Álvaro leads GlobeScan’s office in Brazil. A journalist by training, Álvaro is a strategic advisor around reputation management, stakeholder engagement, purpose and sustainability. He has led projects across a range of sectors including financial services, mining, agribusiness, pulp and paper, food and beverages, personal care, automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, apparel and information technology. He currently works with Natura, Banco Itau, Fibria and Anglo American.
Álvaro is the organizer and curator of the Sustainable Brands conference in Brazil and serves as a board member and advisor for various private and civil society organizations. Álvaro is based in Sao Paulo and is fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in Spanish.
Daniel joined GlobeScan in 2019. He is based in the Hong Kong office and focuses on Wildlife Trade Demand Reduction and Social and Behavioural Change Communication. Daniel has worked as a researcher and consultant across North Africa and Asia since 2012 and received his PhD in Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University in 2019, with a focus on wildlife trade in Morocco. As a researcher, Daniel has published on diverse topics such as sustainable use of wildlife, wildlife trade methods, animal welfare and wildlife trade law in North Africa, Europe and Asia.
With a background in international development and public policy, Salim has worked as a researcher and policy analyst for a variety of international think tanks and departments in the public sector. At GlobeScan, Salim leads several of our global stakeholder research projects for an array of clients from the International Monetary Fund, Inter-American Development Bank and the International Development Research Centre to Nestlé, 3M, Newmont, Gates Foundation, ISEAL Alliance, and Scotiabank.
Kathryn joined GlobeScan’s London office in 2018 with a background in reputation research which she now applies to the world of sustainability. Whether leading large, multi-country quantitative research projects or smaller more in-depth qualitative projects, Kathryn uncovers consumer and stakeholder sustainability expectations for her clients and helps them understand where they could have more positive impact and help tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues. As well as encouraging real change and impact, her insights help companies build long-term trust and communicate more effectively. Kathryn has worked across a wide range of sectors including apparel, mining, consumer goods, and transport.
Perrine heads up GlobeScan Paris, where she works with leading organizations and brands, helping them understand and engage with their consumers and stakeholders, and advising them on strategies to build trust at the intersection of sustainability, purpose, and reputation.
Perrine has more than ten years of experience providing insight and advice to a diverse roster of clients, including Danone, Nestlé, Coca-Cola, C&A, IKEA, VF Corporation, and most recently the OECD. Perrine joined GlobeScan – via its London office – in 2014, having previously worked at Edelman in China and Hong Kong where she led research, strategy consulting, and communications projects across Asia.
Based in Paris, Perrine is a French native. She graduated from Sciences Po Lyon majoring in International Affairs and also holds an MSC in Business Management and Sustainable Development from Paris Dauphine University.
Based in our London office, Esme joined GlobeScan in 2021 from TJX Europe. Passionate about creating a stronger positive impact toward a more sustainable business future, she has completed two university courses in CSR and sustainable business innovation from Imperial College London and the University of Pennsylvania. Esme holds an undergraduate degree in Human Geography from the University of Leeds, specialising in topics such as creating alternative futures and global insecurities.
Bev is a skilled researcher and strategic advisor with over 15 years of experience. Her expertise lies specifically in the area of measuring and managing stakeholder relationships. Bev is a trained moderator and facilitator with specialist knowledge in the area of stakeholder engagement and organisational culture and delights in assisting clients through a process of constructive internal engagement. Bev has collaborated with a wide variety of organisations throughout Africa including: Safaricom, Distell, Old Mutual, Barclays Africa and Exxaro.
Based in GlobeScan’s Cape Town office, Bev is fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
Brenda has 15 years’ experience in brand strategy and marketing communications in Greater China and Asia. She has worked with numerous blue-chip and SME companies across different industries providing insight and advice on commercial and strategic brand issues and opportunities. Her experience covers both consultancy and client-side roles, including B2B and B2C.
Currently based in Hong Kong, Brenda holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and an International Sustainable Business (Advisory) qualification from IASE. In recent years Brenda has developed a passion for ESG issues in general as well as for market insight, communications, and stakeholder engagement programs in particular. She is highly motivated by helping to improve the contribution of business to a more sustainable and balanced future for society, the environment, and the economy.
Based in Toronto, Natalie joined GlobeScan in February 2023. Prior to joining GlobeScan, she has had various sustainability-related internships in different fields in Hong Kong, including risk advisory at a Big Four sustainability team, project coordination at a plastic reduction and marine conservation NGO, and in-house sustainability, marketing, and operation of an urban biodiversity museum. She holds a BSc. in Environmental Management and Technology. Through her school and internships, Natalie has developed qualitative and quantitative research skills in ESG and sustainability, consulting experience, and a passion for sustainability.
Gayle joined GlobeScan in 2014 with experience in sustainability, branding, and market research. Gayle works with clients such as SC Johnson, Citi, Maple Leaf and Natura to develop more purposeful strategies and frameworks.
Prior to joining GlobeScan, Gayle worked in the development of transformational consumer behavior change programs relating to energy, water, and waste.
She holds a Masters in Environmental Studies, and Hon.B.Sc. in Biology.
Nina joined GlobeScan’s São Paulo office in 2020 as an intern and has since become a valuable member of the team. She graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) with a degree in International Relations. Nina is interested in driving positive change through diversity and inclusion initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and a deep understanding of the intricate relationships of consumer behavior. She is committed to delivering research projects that promote a more equitable and sustainable future, by leveraging her expertise in these areas.
Chris works with leadership organizations to help them better understand and respond to shifting stakeholder expectations, build trust with key constituencies and exert greater influence in shaping the future.
Chris has two decades of experience in providing evidence-based counsel in the areas of reputation, purpose and sustainability. He is passionate about building trusted and recognized leadership for GlobeScan’s clients.
He holds an MA in International Affairs and has substantive international experience having lived in North America, Europe and Asia.
Chris has been with GlobeScan since 1998. He is a member of the Multinational Subcommittee of B Lab’s Standards Advisory Council. He is also Special Advisor to the Board of CBSR (Canadian Business for Social Responsibility). He is a co-author of two books, All In: The Future of Business Leadership (2018) and The Sustainable Business Handbook (2022), and co-hosts a podcast with the co-authors of those two books: All In: The Sustainable Business Podcast.
Francis has been with GlobeScan since 2010 and leads on proofreading and quality control for our reports and presentations. Recent projects he has worked on include our annual Radar survey, as well as reports for corporate, non-profit and multi-lateral clients. He has 25 years of proofreading and production experience in print and digital publishing across a wide range of fields including legal, academic, education, advertising and financial reporting.
Based in the London Office, Curran brings with him a cross-cultural and international perspective having worked at several embassies representing South Korea and New Zealand Mission to the WTO and United Nations. He has lived in the UK, US, Cyprus, New Zealand, and Japan. He is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative market research from his work in the Fintech industry. Curran studied International Relations for his BA in Kyoto-Japan, received his MA in Economy, Risk and Society from the LSE-London and is fluent in English and French and has a working knowledge of Japanese.
Femke has two decades of experience helping global organisations navigate the social contract between business and society. She leads teams focused on enhancing organisational reputation, brand positioning, and sustainability , applying her expertise gained from her corporate accounts such as McDonald’s, PepsiCo, Anglo American, De Beers, Johnson & Johnson, Citi, and Scotiabank, and multilateral clients such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
Femke is a stakeholder intelligence specialist, focused on identifying the best way for her clients to listen to and effectively engage with their stakeholders to build trust. She regularly briefs senior executives in Europe, North America, Latin America, and sub-Saharan Africa on the societal context, stakeholder perceptions, and the implications for strategy development.
Femke joined GlobeScan in 2000 after working at an environmental consultancy. She was appointed to GlobeScan’s management team in 2016.
Based in Toronto, Alana joined GlobeScan as Marketing Coordinator in 2022. Alana is a digital marketing specialist. Her passion in market research and content creation is foundational to her ability to develop creative forms of digital media. She holds a BA in Media Information Technoculture and Geography from Western University.
Alana is responsible for creating thought leadership materials to aid in the communication of GlobeScan’s mission and service offerings. She is passionate about using her skills in videography and content creation to communicate ways businesses can take action to combat climate change.
Corinne manages the day-to-day operations of GlobeScan, overseeing governance, financial services, and human resources across all of our offices around the world. A member of our management team, Corinne has been instrumental in supporting our transition to an insights and strategy firm that helps companies, NGOs and governmental organizations build the trust they need to create enduring value for themselves and for society.
In 2017, Corinne played a critical role in helping GlobeScan to achieve its B Corp certification status and join the global movement of people using business as a force for good.
Noemí has 10 years of public and private sector experience both in Toronto and Caracas. She is passionate about social justice, human rights, and a just transition for all. Noemí is an avid member of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team and manages various global stakeholder and consumer engagement projects for a wide variety of clients, as well as shared-research programs, such as Navigating the Nature Agenda.
Noemí joined GlobeScan in 2019 and is currently based in Atlantic Canada. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and a master’s degree in Social Justice and Equity Studies from Brock University.
Victoria heads up the GlobeScan team in Asia Pacific. She is a sustainability professional with extensive international experience; committed to integrating environmental and social factors into business to drive performance and growth.
Prior to joining GlobeScan, Victoria held both consulting and in-house sustainability positions in London, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Most recently, she was at Colliers International and the International WELL Building Institute. She has worked with a range of clients including Lendlease, Citibank, JLL, Manulife, Swire Properties, SunLife Financial, Accenture, and Haworth.
Victoria established the WELL Faculty network in Asia and continues to play an active role in the global sustainability and wellness community, leading in events and knowledge sharing forums. She holds an MSc in Corporate Responsibility and a BA in Geography and Chinese Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK and she speaks Mandarin.
Based in the London office, Leeam joined GlobeScan in 2019 as an Analyst after two years at a sustainability consultancy. With a keen interest and belief in the role of business as a force for good, Leeam has enjoyed spearheading successful projects for leading organisations in a range of sectors, including food & beverage, automotive, and philanthropy. Leeam holds a BA in Geography from the University of Leicester, having specialised in sustainable development and urban inequalities.
Anneke heads up the GlobeScan team in Africa. With over 25 years’ experience in helping organisations better understand their stakeholders, Anneke is well-positioned to work closely with her clients on protecting their reputation and build trust. Advising clients on the importance of purpose, collaboration and building advocacy she supports organisations to craft strategies that build trusted relationships. Her experience straddles geographies and sectors with a special interest in Africa. She has advised senior management at, amongst others, financial services, mining, food and beverages as well as telecommunications companies on reputation and stakeholder engagement strategies. Recent clients include African leadership companies such as Absa, Gold Fields, Exxaro, Old Mutual, Standard Bank, De Beers, Vodacom, SAB, Sanlam and Safaricom.
Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Anneke is fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Based in Hyderabad, Anup represents GlobeScan in India. He has 15 years of experience as a sustainability practitioner with expertise in corporate sustainability, stakeholder engagement, materiality, ESG disclosures, maturity and impact assessment, climate finance, sustainability reporting and sustainability strategy across multiple sectors. He completed his Post Graduation with a specialization in Environmental Management and is well versed with global sustainability guidelines, regulations and standards. Prior to joining GlobeScan, Anup worked as a key member and leader in the climate change and sustainability services teams of EY, KPMG and YES BANK.
Nadia is an experienced project manager, advisor, and researcher. She has helped clients address strategic issues through applied stakeholder intelligence and engagement and works with a diverse range of clients including McDonald’s Canada, Sun Life Financial, De Beers, 3M, Nutrien, SC Johnson, and Reckitt Benckiser. Nadia leads projects ranging from sustainability strategy development, materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, reputation, and consumer attitudes and engagement studies. She has been with GlobeScan since 2018.
She has several years of experience in the financial industry, where she developed a keen interest in socially responsible investing and sustainability. She is passionate about creating a better world and tackling challenges around climate, biodiversity, and inequality.
She holds a Masters in Environmental Studies in Sustainability Management and Hon. BA in Sociology and Humanities.
Caroline leads GlobeScan’s team in London, working with our European clients, including some of the world’s most influential brands. She has more than two decades of experience in stakeholder and consumer consultations, covering topics relating to reputation, sustainability and purpose. She regularly briefs organisations on business and society trends and implications. Caroline specialises in helping organisations develop and implement effective stakeholder and consumer engagement strategies and pioneered GlobeScan’s very first online collaboration forum, in 2012, with Unilever.
Based in London, Caroline joined GlobeScan in 2007, having held senior consultancy and client-side roles in the financial services and healthcare industries. She is a member of the Management Team and leads GlobeScan’s strategic plan for achieving our purpose.
Kirby joined GlobeScan’s San Franscisco team in the Spring of 2022. As part of her work with GlobeScan, Kirby is instrumental in delivering projects that engage collaboratively, empathically, and reliably on behalf of sustainable outcomes.
She holds a B.S. in Anthropology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a M.A. in Public Anthropology from American University. Kirby’s background is in intercultural community development, qualitative research, and environmental anthropology, and she has particular interest in issues of access and placemaking, social ecology, and critical human geography.
Idit is a Brazilian/Israeli who joined GlobeScan’s Sao Paulo office in 2020. She brings 15 years of experience in research, strategy, and innovation in senior roles, across international B2C and B2B companies.
Skilled in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, her work has covered a wide range of sectors including food and beverage, financial services, pulp and paper, personal care, beauty, and pharmaceutical..
Idit holds a postgraduate degree in Market Research and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in Spanish.
Based in our Toronto office, Henrietta provides administrative support to our C.O.O. and all GlobeScan’s team members around the world. A recent graduate of Seneca college, Henrietta joined GlobeScan in 2020. She is fluent in English and Hungarian.
Dr. Kritski is GlobeScan’s chief methodologist, and is involved in the fundamental design and analysis of all major projects. Eugene has 20 years of experience in international public opinion, marketing and stakeholder research. He has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies with a specific knowledge of cross-cultural study design and implementation.
He is the author of several books and research papers, and a frequent speaker at professional forums. Dr. Kritski has taught research methodology to graduate students at The George Washington University and Adizes Institute for Organizational Transformation. Fluent in English and Russian, Eugene joined GlobeScan in 2003.
Aniko joined the GlobeScan London office in 2022 with solid experience in designing and managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects among the general public, and a variety of stakeholder audiences. Over her years in market research, she has covered a wide range of issues such as ESG, the future of mobility, and wildlife protection. Aniko thrives on providing useful strategic insight and recommendations to her clients.
Christine is based in GlobeScan’s San Francisco office and has worked with a wide range of global organisations including McDonald’s, Fairtrade International, the Walt Disney Company, and Cisco, among many others. Christine most enjoys helping clients respond to stakeholder expectations on issues that relate to sustainability and corporate reputation. In addition, she has led on global consumer engagement studies and has a strong understanding of today’s ethically-driven consumer landscape and trends.
Prior to joining GlobeScan, Christine was a sustainability analyst at a socially-responsible investment firm near Washington, D.C.
Based in our London office, Tom joined GlobeScan in 2024 having previously held a role as the ESG Lead at a Workforce Management Solutions business following completion of his Masters in Sustainable Development. With a particular interest in utilising data to build towards a future where we reduce our impacts and live within our planetary boundaries.
On top of his Masters qualification, Tom holds a BSc in Oceanography from the University of Southampton and is keen to drive the sustainable agenda within consumer brands.
Tove manages GlobeScan’s syndicated Radar research program—delivering high value analysis, sector-specific findings, and relevant data-driven insights for issues and reputation management to leadership organizations in the corporate and non-profit arenas. Tove also manages The Sustainability Survey, conducted in partnership with the consultancy SustainAbility and Sustainable Brands. Fluent in English, French and Swedish, Tove has been with GlobeScan since 2005.
James leads GlobeScan’s San Francisco office where he works in partnership with leading organizations, helping them understand and engage with their stakeholders, and advising them on strategies to build trust and drive long-term value for themselves and society.
James has two decades of experience providing strategic insight and advice to a diverse roster of clients. Recent clients include The Walt Disney Company, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, HP, eBay, AT&T, Clorox, TB Alliance, PG&E, Intel and VMware. James joined GlobeScan in 2009, having previously worked at Ipsos MORI in the UK, where he provided strategic insights to government, businesses and non-profits.
Based in our Toronto office, Terri directs production and quality control for GlobeScan’s reporting and presentations. She has been instrumental in finding new and innovative ways of visually displaying primary data to allow for easy interpretation.
Terri leads on GlobeScan’s online data visualization delivery tool which enables clients to access automated reporting. Working across multiple client accounts, Terri is a key member of the operational team and is responsible for streamlining processes and delivery.
Terri joined GlobeScan in 2000. She holds a degree in Environment and Resource Studies.
Itzel Orozco is a business and sustainability consultant with 20+ years of professional experience. She has worked in over 10 countries advising Fortune 500 companies in industries such as: mining, tech, banking, finance, among others. In 2019 she founded COMPASS 2050, online Academy for Sustainability. Previously, she worked as an economist at the Central Bank of Mexico and at General Electric Consumer Finance.
Itzel has authored several papers on business ethics and sustainability and is co-author with IPADE of the book“Shaping Social Entrepreneurship in Mexico” and she is a frequent speaker at the UN and various international forums and media.
Itzel holds an MBA – Sustainable Enterprise from the University of Oregon, an MSc. in Strategic Leadership toward Sustainability from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, and Economist (cum laude) from UNITEC, Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and proficient in Swedish.
Vinicius joined GlobeScan’s Brazil office in 2019, where he has worked on a variety of sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement, purpose and reputation management projects, leveraging his years of experience in local development and diversity projects across a range of sectors. Prior to joining GlobeScan, Vinicius worked in the sustainability, CSR and communications departments for several major companies and NGOs in Brazil. He holds a Master in Public Policies, is fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in Spanish.
Based in the Toronto office, Svetlana re-joined GlobeScan in early 2022 as a research assistant with the Data Analytics Team (she had interned with GlobeScan in 2015). Previously, Svetlana volunteered with several organization most recently in the capacity of a grant writer and researcher for the SMILES foundation. She holds a BA (Honours) in Psychology from York University and a Post Graduate Certificate as a Research Analyst from Georgian College. She has a particular interest in research analysis, sustainable living, and psychology.
Based in Cape Town, Ruksana joined GlobeScan in January 2022. An experienced research consultant and project manager with more than a decade of experience, she holds an Honours Degree in Marketing from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). Ruksana understands the needs of her clients and has experience in both qualitative and quantitative projects, ranging from stakeholder research to consumer behaviour. She has a keen interest in sustainability research and continues to grow her expertise here. When not at her desk you will find her out and about, exploring Cape Town with her family.
Based in our Toronto office, Stacy directs strategic communications for GlobeScan’s thought leadership program.
Stacy has an in-depth understanding of CSR and sustainability and is experienced in working globally across multiple stakeholder audiences. She also coordinates joint thought leadership strategies and campaigns with our partners.
She has over two decades of client-side experience in communications and CSR from her time at British Telecom (BT) in London, UK.
Stacy moved from the UK to Canada in 2015. She holds a degree in Public Relations.
Sylvie has 15 years of experience as project director, analyst and report writer for both corporations and NGOs on strategic research programs, research approaches with key stakeholders and multi-country tracking programs, market analysis and market sizing in APAC. She is a post-graduate, KEDGE Business School (Marseilles’ Graduate School of Management, France), Master with specialization in International Business and International Marketing.
Sylvie is now living in France, having worked in Hong Kong for twelve years.
Based in the Toronto office, Harshita joined GlobeScan in 2022. She brings ten years of experience having been an editor and proofreader of curriculum books with various publishing houses in Singapore, India, and Canada. In her role at GlobeScan, Harshita provides proofreading and quality control for our reports and presentations.
As Chief of Staff, Shannon supports the CEO and senior leadership team at GlobeScan in coordinating and executing high priority initiatives. She applies her two decades of experience to work strategically and collaboratively across the company, streamlining activities based on the priorities of the CEO and contributing to the long-term success of the company.
Pendragon is an experienced strategist who has spent over a decade guiding global blue-chip companies in how to be more sustainable, equitable and profitable. He works closely with businesses to help them understand the accelerating pace of change and the shifting stakeholder needs they face, so they can shape their own future.
This builds on his expertise in researching and engaging audiences including consumers, investors and opinion leaders. His work in mapping, tracking and predicting trends has helped clients such as Unilever, IKEA, Nestle and Danone steer their corporate and sustainability strategies alongside their innovation and communications.
Prior to joining GlobeScan’s London office in 2021, Pendragon worked in a specialist sustainability consultancy and two global research and consultancy leaders.
Connor joined GlobeScan in 2021, having previously led a global youth research project to understand opinions on the sustainable energy transition leading up to 2030. He has also led public and private environmental clean-up events, educated on marine-based plastic pollution, and is a certified WWF Living Planet Leader.
Connor holds a Master of Sustainability degree and focused his major research on the motivations and barriers of choosing to lead an off-grid lifestyle in Canada. He additionally holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Based in Cape Town, Yoliswa joined GlobeScan in July 2024. Yoliswa’s experience spans across the public and private sectors in areas of economic research, customer insights, public transport, and impact analysis. Yoliswa holds an undergraduate degree in Management Studies specialising in Economics and an honours degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management both from the University of Cape Town. Yoliswa is passionate about evidence-based decision making, contributing to transformative strategies, and promoting effective collaborations. Yoliswa is fluent in isiXhosa and English.
Based in the Paris office, Sophie joined GlobeScan in 2023 bringing strong qualitative and quantitative research skills gained in France and the UK where she led both small ad hoc and large-scale multi-country tracking studies. From employee engagement to corporate reputation research, she thrives on uncovering insightful stories to help clients better understand their world, drive real positive change, and lead a more sustainable future.
Sophie has worked across a wide range of sectors including education and training, retail and consumer goods, energy, oil and gas, and charity. She is a French native and speaks English and Spanish. She holds a BA in Social Sciences and an MA in Sociology from Paris Sorbonne University and is a graduate of King’s College London with an MA in Philosophy.
Eric Whan is a Director at GlobeScan, an insights and strategy firm dedicated to building trusted leadership for a sustainable and equitable future. Over 20 years, Eric has helped steer the company’s growth to become the partner of choice for many of the world’s most influential organizations seeking to understand and reshape how they create value for their stakeholders. His current clients and collaborators include P&G, IKEA, WWF, Danone, Visa, Newmont, Nutrien, and VF Corp among others.
Eric is co-designer of GlobeScan’s and BBMG’s Aspirationals consumer segmentation and was the creator of National Geographic’s Greendex survey on the state of sustainable consumption globally. Eric also directs the GlobeScan SustainAbility Surveys program, an elite research platform that provides open-source insights from experts into sustainability leadership, progress toward the SDGs and climate action across 80+ countries. In 2019, Eric launched GlobeScan’s most recent global consumer insights platform designed to help large companies and NGOs better enable more healthy and sustainable living in a mutually beneficial way via an annual 25-country consumer survey.
Based in the Toronto office, Alanna joined GlobeScan in 2021. Prior to joining GlobeScan, Alanna was the Consumer Insights Coordinator at Cineplex Entertainment working on brand and reputation research. She holds a BA (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Waterloo and a Post Graduate Certificate as a Research Analyst. She has a particular interest in equitable opportunity and the inclusion of underrepresented voices. Alanna will work with a range of GlobeScan clients on stakeholder and consumer engagement projects.
Crystal is involved in the technical and data quality aspects of GlobeScan’s primary research, including sampling and modeling. She uses various multivariate analysis to unlock data for insightful interpretation.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, Crystal joined GlobeScan in 2011, having previously held senior research positions at TNS China, where she led on large scale market research and data mining projects with complicated design and advanced statistical analysis.
Based in the London office, Rosie joined GlobeScan in 2021. She spent four years developing her research skills at the BBC, with a focus on engaging audiences with new and informative programmes and researching content around events such as the Earthshot prize. She holds a BSc in Marine Biology and an MSc in Science Communication. Seeing the effects climate change is having on our oceans has driven her desire to work on creating a more sustainable future. Rosie works with a range of GlobeScan clients including not for profit organisations as well as leading corporate brands.
Penny provides senior administrative support to all of GlobeScan’s team members and plays a key role in helping to ensure that the team well placed to deliver the best support to clients. Penny is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Prior to joining GlobeScan, Penny held various roles in the legal, engineering and financial industries. Her biggest achievement was having the opportunity to be involved in the launch of a satellite going up into Space while working on a project with US companies and the Chinese Department of Space.
Meet OUR Board
Andréa is a Regenerative Systems Developer and Independent Thinker. She has 30 years of professional experience, 27 of which in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) companies including Natura, PepsiCo, and P&G. For the last six and a half years, Andréa was the Chief Brand, Innovation, and Sustainability Officer for Natura and led the company’s operations outside of Latin America. Before this, she was President of the PepsiCo Beverages Division in Brazil.
Andréa has served on a number of Boards over the past ten years, including the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the Council for Conscious Capitalism Brazil. She continues to serve on the Board of the Cradle-to-Cradle Products Innovation Institute
Greig Clark is the Founding and Managing Partner of the Horatio Enterprise Fund, a venture capital fund. He also serves on the board of a number of companies and served as the CEO of several of the portfolio companies in times of transition. Greig was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 1979 and Top Ten Entrepreneur of the Decade in 1990. He also writes for Profit Magazine.
The Right Honourable Joe Clark is Vice Chairman of the Global Leadership Foundation, which exists to improve the quality of political leadership and governance by enabling today’s national leaders to benefit from the experience of former leaders. He is a professor and board member of the Institute for the Study of International Development at McGill University. Mr. Clark was elected eight times to the House of Commons of Canada, and served as Prime Minister of Canada, Foreign Minister, and Minister of Constitutional Affairs, among others.
Chris works with leadership organizations to help them better understand and respond to shifting stakeholder expectations, build trust with key constituencies and exert greater influence in shaping the future.
Chris has two decades of experience in providing evidence-based counsel in the areas of reputation, purpose and sustainability. He is passionate about building trusted and recognized leadership for GlobeScan’s clients.
He holds an MA in International Affairs and has substantive international experience having lived in North America, Europe and Asia.
Chris has been with GlobeScan since 1998. He is a member of the Multinational Subcommittee of B Lab’s Standards Advisory Council. He is also Special Advisor to the Board of CBSR (Canadian Business for Social Responsibility). He is a co-author of two books, All In: The Future of Business Leadership (2018) and The Sustainable Business Handbook (2022), and co-hosts a podcast with the co-authors of those two books: All In: The Sustainable Business Podcast.
Gail held the role of chief sustainability officer for Unilever, globally positioning the group as a pioneer in corporate, social and environmental stewardship. She has over 30 years’ experience with varied roles in human resources, sales, marketing and business solutions across Unilever’s foods, home care and personal care businesses. She served as CEO of Unilever South Africa and executive vice president for Unilever’s savoury category. Subsequently, she worked for Old Mutual in various roles, where she helped build their Positive Futures Plan, encouraging inclusive growth and responsible investment. At SYSTEMIQ, she is leading the work for various industries and is supporting SYSTEMIQ operations.
Randi is a Senior Scholar at the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business. With over 25 years of packaged goods and pharmaceutical experience, Randi most recently was a senior executive at Johnson & Johnson®, where she served as Worldwide Vice President on two of the company’s most important franchises, Johnson’s Baby and Women’s Health. Prior to her role at Johnson & Johnson, Randi served in various product management capacities for 8 years at Kraft Foods including Director, Desserts Division.
Idit is a Brazilian/Israeli who joined GlobeScan’s Sao Paulo office in 2020. She brings 15 years of experience in research, strategy, and innovation in senior roles, across international B2C and B2B companies.
Skilled in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, her work has covered a wide range of sectors including food and beverage, financial services, pulp and paper, personal care, beauty, and pharmaceutical..
Idit holds a postgraduate degree in Market Research and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in Spanish.
Robin Miller represents the Miller Family Trust on GlobeScan’s Board.
His father, Doug Miller founded GlobeScan in 1987 to help companies, NGOs, and governmental organizations better navigate the challenges and opportunities in the emerging sustainable development agenda.
In June 2023, Robin and his wife, Sarah, became joint owners of The Milk Maid, a specialty cheese and charcuterie business with locations in Owen Sound and Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada.
Prior to this, Robin spent 14 years at GlobeScan, where he served as a marketing and communications expert, specializing in digital marketing and social media.
