The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a roadmap for the future we all want. However while the initial launch of the Global Goals has captured the imagination of a number of businesses, governments, multilateral organisations, NGOs and parts of the media, there is a great deal more awareness and engagement required to deliver on the 2030 targets.
Our latest GlobeScan/SustainAbility Survey shows that only nine percent of experts say the private sector has made a positive contribution to progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so far. And net progress on each of the Global Goals ranges from minus 23 to minus 67.
At GlobeScan we believe more leadership is needed to inform, inspire and catalyze collective action across the SDGs.
Over the next two years we are scheduling a series of 17 open, online events with hundreds of stakeholders across the world. Each forum will focus on one Global Goal, connecting stakeholders to share ideas and action for making progress on the SDGs.
Our 17 SDG Leadership Forums will provide the opportunity for experts and opinion leaders from across the world to come together to collaborate on each Sustainable Development Goal in a real-time, text-based moderated online discussion.
This is our opportunity to help scale engagement and collective action around the Global Goals and bring us a step closer to operationalising the SDGs.
