GlobeScan Announces the Appointment of Gail Klintworth as Chair of the Board

14th January 2019 – GlobeScan is pleased to announce the appointment of Gail Klintworth as the new Chair of the Board. Gail will be following the Chairmanship of Doug Miller, who retired on December 31, 2018.

Gail is an experienced strategic and operational executive with a demonstrated history of working globally across diverse sectors with business, civil society and governmental organizations.
Gail’s executive career roles have included Chief Sustainability Officer for Unilever, globally positioning the group as a pioneer in corporate sustainability. She has over 30 years’ experience with varied roles in human resources, marketing, sustainability and corporate affairs across Unilever’s foods, home care and personal care businesses. She served as CEO of Unilever South Africa and executive vice president for Unilever’s savoury category. Subsequently, she was an executive at Old Mutual Group, designing and leading the company’s Positive Futures Plan, a corporate strategy to drive sustainable and inclusive growth across its markets.
Gail also holds several other portfolio roles including Chair of the Shell Foundation, Chair of Integrity Action and acts as an Non-Executive Director and Advisor to select set of listed and private Boards and serves as a Special Advisor on Special Economic Zones and Clusters with SYSTEMIQ, an advisory and investment business which was founded to help drive systemic change to a more sustainable economy.
