2024 Oxford-GlobeScan Survey Findings and Panel Discussion

The Corporate Affairs Academy at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and GlobeScan recently hosted a webinar on the latest trends steering excellence in Corporate Affairs & Communications.

Rupert Younger, Director of the Centre for Corporate Reputation and Corporate Affairs Academy, moderated an expert panel to explore the latest trends on what it takes to deliver excellence as a corporate affairs and communications leader. Chris Coulter, CEO at GlobeScan, shared survey highlights from our 5th Annual Oxford-GlobeScan Global Corporate Affairs Survey.

Results show that geopolitical risk and uncertainty is once again the biggest perceived short-term category of risk to global businesses, having risen to the number-one slot in 2022 with the onset of the war in Ukraine. The perceived threat to business posed by geopolitical factors has dramatically increased in 2024 as the Middle East becomes increasingly enveloped in conflict, with 70 percent of respondents now identifying geopolitical uncertainty as the most significant risk to business over the next two years.
