On 23 November 2020 we hosted a webinar to discuss the growing popularity of plant-based products and the fast growing marketing introductions of plant-based meat and beverages. We drew from our global and Asia Pacific research conducted during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic showing that consumers around the world are willing to change their behavior to become healthier and more sustainable.
The webinar explored GlobeScan’s Healthy & Sustainable Living study, which was designed and launched with a range of partners including CVS Health, IKEA, PepsiCo, Visa, Walmart and WWF International to help organizations better understand the mindsets of consumers.
We touched on the barriers that prevent consumers to live more healthy and sustainably but mainly focused on the myriad of opportunities for consumers and how this emerging industry can grow.
We were thrilled to have the following panelists join us to share their valuable insights:
- David Yeung, Founder and CEO of Green Monday, one of Asia’s earliest (2012) and most successful pure plant-based companies
- Roberto Guidetti, CEO of Vitasoy International, an iconic brand in Asia, producing plant-based beverages since 1940
- Sonalie Figueiras, Founder of Green Queen and Editor in Chief of the Asia Alternative Protein Industry report 2020
The session was briefed and moderated by GlobeScan’s Wander Meijer, Director Asia Pacific and Victoria Gilbert, Associate Director.
